Could you please suggest me a way to get my transcripts from India . I also have another doubt . I am presently in H4 visa . Should I go to India to change my visa to F1 , if I get admission ? eagle Posted October 13, 2003 Share Posted October 13, 2003 Writing to your university back home along with xerox attested copies of your originals that you have at present should suffice. However this changes from university to university. I studied at Nagpur University-and they needed to see my originals in order to issue transcripts.(The officials also needed money on the side to get things done sooner). As for visa status, I think it is possible to study using the H4 visa status. Best of luck! Do write if you think I can help you further. As you have mentioned , if I continue studying in H4 , I will not be able to do part-time jobs here . So I feel it would be better to change my visa to F1. What is your opinion regarding this ?
