You definitely applied to some VERY SELECTIVE universities. Do you not have the list of universities RANKED? No wonder you got rejected. You need to apply to less selective ones. What was your OLD GRE score? I'm applying for Industrial Engineering because it is a good major w/ a lot of job opportunities, and because I'm not very interested in EE and it's very hard and not my forte. Was this your second time giving the GRE? I might apply to MO Rolla too. thanks. Nadia |

Dear Nadia,
Thank you very much for the list. Where did you find that? I would like to ask any list for ME? I just took the PBT of GRE, so, my score report will not be available until mid december at the end of this year. Do you know that MO Rolla is selective or not? Here are some university I intend to apply: U of New Orleans U of Louisville U of Akron Louisiana Tech Cal Poly Oregon State ............ I am still finding some more Anyway, I think I can have clearer idea after my GRE score is released later. |

Dear Ricky,
I just did a google search for university rankings and came up w/ that list for EE. I don't know how selective you of mo at rolla is. You said they asked you to send a BETTER GRE score, so I assumed you had sent them one that they didn't like too much. What are their GRE requirements? They are ranked fairly high though so it might be hard for us to get in. to be safe, I think we shouldn't apply to any of those ranked schools. I applied to louisiana state university at baton rouge and got rejected . the universities you listed where you plan to apply, have you checked their gpa requirements etc?take care, Nadia |

Dear Nadia,
yes I do, I checked them. Some of them say "3.0" but they do offer provisional admission. I think for engineering students, a excellent Q score ( say, 800) might be helpful. Yes, I agree with you. We might have to choose some schools not ranked! ![]() |
