Can you post the breakup of your scores please.
Guys! I scored 1320 in the first attempt and
I am planning to retake the GRE to improve my quantitative score.
I have a query ( that I can't get answered at the ETS site) esp. to those who have retaken the GRE ( at least once )
#Do I get the same Confirmation number the second time I register?
# Where exactly do I have to mention the Confirmation ID of my first appearance, while registering for the second time ?? ( Or I don't mention it at all, rather ETS tracks it from my Passport ID and name?)
Please help me answering these queries. I have already reported my scores to the universities. But I want them to know my cumulative score. So, the univs are gonna have two mails in their mail-Box from ETS.
>> Mail1 ( Score of my first appearance [1320])
>> Mail2 ( Cumulative score = 1st[1320] + 2nd[????] )
How do I make sure,that the graduate selection-committee picks Mail2 and NOT 1 ??
Ohh !! It's 580v + 740q
I'm retaking it mainly to improve the quant. score ( Hope it doesn't get worse)
In fact, I could answer 26 questions and ran out of time !!
This time I would try hitting all 28 questions. If I can't , I would postpone the test and stick to my previous score.
I wish I didn't have to retake it .
But after investigating the average quant. score of last-year-admits into my target schools I realized that "not-retaking" would cause my application to be filtered out long before my SOP reaches the Professor's hands.....
Anyways !! No one seems to have an answer to my Mail1-Mail2 puzzle![]()
I guess the GRE quant level has raised recently so don't go by your quant score instead check on the percentile. What is your percentile in quant?
I too gave my GRE a couple of days ago which resulted in Q-730 V-590. I too am upset with my quant, mainly lost on timeout and a couple of tricky questions in the beginning but waiting to know my percentile.
