First of all thanx fr responding,my profile isGRE -1220(verbal-460,maths-760)have a good gpa(exactly dont know how to calculate it)1 international paper, 1 national paperwant to pursue MS in electronics....will Brigham be a good choice....is it a nice university??

I personally would find BYU a dreadful place to study considering the extreme conservatism and religious affiliation of the school. However I have heard from Mormon friends that the academics are pretty solid and it is a safe friendly place to live/work. I do not know much about the CS department, you should look for specific professors that share your interests and if homology is found then apply.

hey thanx fr thy guidance...but the university is far too cheap compared to other US universities...and my profile is not that strong to apply for the ivy league universities...moreover BYU has a ranking of 79...which is better than other middle tier universities...ofcourse it has a religious affliation..but everything has its pros and cons..and money matters a lot to me..what say??

I have been to BYU and could tell you it is a nice place. I really don't know much about their electrical program being a biz school junkie myself. I would note however that its religious affiliation is something that must be considered when applying. BYU students closely follow their religion and, it reflects in virtually everything done there. It is likely your fellow students will attend religious activities weekly or daily. Likewise, beer, drugs, and smoking is banned on campus. (It is also socially viewed as unacceptable) Thus, while BYU accepts anyone, non-LDS students must be willing to live like the LDS church members.
