Hello,

Kindly attend to this query as this is a big decision for me to make and there can't be anyone more experienced than you people who can show me the right path :

I have 4 admits for Spring 2004 for MS in Computer Sc.

a) Uni of Houston, TX {No Aid}. One year cost 21K

b) Uni of TX, Dallas (No Aid). One year cost 18K

c) Uni of Kentucky (Usual 65% Tuition Waiver). One year cost 14K

d) John Hopkins University (20% Tuition Waiver) One year cost after waiver 35K. I can consider taking some loan if its really worth.

Lots of people tell me that CS for University of Kentucky is better than JHU/UTD. Is that true ? I need your frank opinion on this as this is going to be a big step for me. In essence, could you please tell me which school to choose, giving priority to international/industry reputation of school for CS and of course Quality of Program ?

If I were u, I would go with John Hopkins University...for itz worth it ! and believe me, CS program in JHU is much better than UKent.
but, JHU is costly....if thtz a factor, go with UKent.

Is JHU better ranked than others ? And do you have any idea whether JHU has better recognition in job industry as compared to Kentucky ? IF the diff in repu isn't too much then I would go for Kentucky. Please advise.

JHU is a much better school than Ukent. Definitely much better !!
As always, for a better school, job market is in its favor !
