About official gre/toefl scores

Hi,

Some universities require official copy of gre/toefl score should be sent to graduate school (I guess almost all of them say such thing) from ets. But ets also require department codes along with institution codes (like 0402 for gre and 78 for toefl) during phone call. Now what code should be entered? Is there any spcial code for graduate school? I sent the scores so far using the department codes. But it was brought to my notice recently when my friend mentioned about the requirement of OSU. Now would this be a problem? What codes have you used?

Thank you.

You are using the correct codes (Unless the department ask to send the score for a different code, like Umich CS department that asks to send the scores to 1201) .
You just have to provide the department code which means that you are applying for a graduate program ( in case of TOEFL), however, GRE definitely means you are applying for Graduate School.
BTW, if you send the score using wrong department code, your intended department can get it as well by contacting the other department ( as I read somewhere online but I don't remember where)
