    The time for score delivery

    Hi,
In the worst case how long does it take from the time additional score report is request over phone to the receipt by departments? I mean delay by ets+delay by postal mail or whatever they resort to.
    Thanks.

According to ETS, it takes 5 businesss days for ETS to mail out the report after it is requested by phone. The mailing time is only 2-4 days excluding Sundays as discussed here:

ETS is not a very trustable organization, insure yourself for any delays. I have been waiting for my gre score report since one month, that report should have been sent to me in 10-15 days according to ETS.

Yes, if the destination of a mailed report is other than the US, mailed reports may take at least several weeks to arrive, primarily due to airmail delays.

In the issue being discussed here, I assume the destination is a US university. Your point, however, is well taken. One should order the reports ASAP.

The next deadline for graduate admissions coming up is January 15th. If one orders a score report today by phone, it won't arrive by that deadline but will likely arrive shortly afterwards a few days after the deadline, which will be fine (ordinarily).

I agree with your reasoning but they dont put a warning about these delays (even if they are caused by some similar reason as you stated), I gave this example to indicate, why one cannot count on ETS for timely significant issues.

By the way, as far as I know, if you warn the admission office beforehand that the scores may arrive after the deadline, they will understand that. At least I did something similar, I have been told by the admission office that I should post the gre score report to the university at latest before my application is reviewed by the adcom (that is after the application deadline).
So it will be alright, as CalmLogic said, that the stuff arrives after a few days than the deadline but I think you should inform the adm.office about the issue. Good luck with the applications.

    Not more than ten days.

One more thing, from your username it seems like you are a Bangla speaking person!

Elements sent to the wrong location, or not received by January 15th, may be disqualified.

Do you think this sounds like they would consider the delays by ets?

Yes if it is only a few days, but one should confirm with the graduate department or school.
