Hi heavyrain2408,
Thank you so much. I was waiting for your reply . Your post really help me a lot for choosing my final one. As you already knew, I'm waiting for my other results. If no more acceptance then I'll definitely go for ETH-Zurich. Thank you again. Take care... and pray for me.Quote:

I wrote this elsewhere in the forum, but since this thread is my child I feel justified in posting this here. This afternoon I received an email stating that I've been awarded the STIET fellowship for the study on incentive-centered design at Michigan. 2 year fellowship at 30k, plus another 3 years guaranteed, most likely as RA. Needless to say, at this point I'm extremely excited! Now I won't be sweating the wait-list at CMU. Also, I received an email that seems to imply that I was recommended for this fellowship after I visited the department, so take your visits seriously even if you've already been accepted! Also, this makes me much less bitter about Duke rejecting me,

Wild Runner,
What is ur area of interest? That should help you decide the university. I think Duke is a good choice, its highly ranked (not as high as Wisc-Madison) and weather is much pleasant in North Carolina than Wisconsin. Also you get a lot of money here!! ![]() I would choose to go to Wisconsin-Madison only if I wanted to do my PhD in Databases. Hope it helps! |
