I have applied Berkeley, Northwestern, Northeastern, UT Austin, Boston, Michigan, Notre Dame, Pennsylvania, Washington, Toronto and three universities in Britain. (I guess you are not interested in the universities in Britain.)
I got rejected by Berkeley and got an unofficial rejection from Northwestern. Others are unknown. If you had applied any of the universities listed above, can you share any (new) information that you have? thanks!! |

40 is quite a large number. Congrat you for having better offer(s)...
well, talking about GRE, I never believe public exams. Of course there are counterexamples that admitted students with exceptionally good scores do worse during their studies. I am not going to quote it here. Of course I know the committee doesn't only look at the score. But for top universities, it seems that the score is served to be a filter. (I talk about the GRE because I am angry with my bad score.) Anyway, thank you for telling us a lot. |

Hi guys,
I have been admitted to Stony-Brook, UIUC and Indiana University in pure math. I am waiting for response from Purdue? Anyone knowing anything about Purdue? Are they sending out responses? Any info on this is appreciated ... |
