Pure Mathematics PhD admission results

Dear Applicants Pure Mathematics,

Since we all are mainly interested about decision of the selection committee of the Math department and there is not much correlation between between the deadlines by which different departments make decisions,I decided to start a new thread.Please post news about your admission status in various universities so far in this topic.Also,if you have some news(or a hint) about decisions in general,do not hesitate to post it.

From what I know, MIT, Princeton, Berkeley, UChicago, Brown, Northwestern are all out. To know your status there, just email the grad coordinator. I guess it's better to have no false hopes there.

Hi!
I haven't heard anything from Brown or Northwestern, so I guess I'm rejected by now ... Do you know anything about the Yale admissions?

All accepted and waitlisted people for Brown Math program have been communicated with.As for Northwestern,the grad chairman wants to be politically correct and is not going to OFFICIALLY decline admission to anybody before April 15,though decisions have already been made.For the uninitiated,there is something call thegradcafe.com where people post their results.Since there are no entries for Yale in 2008,it's my guess that the results may or be out yet.(can't say for sure,however,as the same thing is true for NW,but hardly anybody has posted anything.)

Yes,I must also add that Columbia and U Penn results are out,though they seem to be having a policy of not notifying rejected people.UCLA seems to more or less have made decisions too.

I am out for Columbia as well....just waiting for NYU, Carnegie Mellon.

There is a long run to April 15th yet, admissions are still happening.
