Hello people I need your help,

I have done Batchelors in Computer system engineering and want to apply to USA for direct PHD program not in masters cause I have heard that there are less chances of getting assistance at masters. Can you please suggest where should I apply, I need financial assitance, cant afford to pay.

    My GPA is : 2.61
    GRE : 1250/1600
Final year Project: Related to image processing, "Real time video tracking by an active camera".

Thank you, any help will be greatly appreciated

Ouch :o, that GPA will most likely keep you out of PhD programs. You will need to apply easy Masters programs and do well with your graduate study and thesis. And then apply to a PhD program. You need to demonstrate that you can do graduate work first.

As far as I know, in top 10 univs once you get an admission, for 100% you will have financial aids. But getting into them is very tough and from your profile I think your chance is dim.

But there are some other univs (not in top ten) where Aid scenario is very bright. The University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio is an example.

    Good luck

Fortune and Psyoutlaw thanks for replying. Psyoutlaw could you tell me about the easy Masters programs then....and any idea about masters from European countries, cause Europe is free.
Fortune could you give me more examples of the universites where chances of aid are bright. I mean the list of uni where is should apply.
