Urgent! Please guide me regarding MS in Fall 08-US

Hi All,
I need urgent help. I want to do MS in this Fall 2008.
My Gre score is 1390 (quant : 790, Verb: 600), Writing score of 5.0
Toefl iBT score of 115. I am from non - comp. undergrad, but my academic record is quite good.I also have over 3.5 years of work experience as software engineer.
Based on my profile, can you please tell me any universities in which I can still apply for Fall 08, for MS in Comp Sc. or MIS.(I am international student)
Also, is there any other specialisation in MS (in Information Technology field) that could be useful for me?

Yeah, then I would consider an MIS/IS/IT/CIS degree. I don't know which programs are still accepting applications though. You may also want to ask at the MIS forum at Edulix.

All of the CS degrees I know of except UT Dallas have significant prequisite requirements for admission:
UT Dallas Computer Science – Admissions

It's not too late to apply to UT Dallas since they have a deadline in May.
I think they also have an MIS program:

The School of Management, Graduate Degree Programs, Degree Plan

CalmLogic 's dreams are becoming reality.
It is a forum popular among Indian students that discusses U.S. graduate admissions, including CS and MIS admissions. (Free registration is required to see any of the posts.) As MDK also pointed out to me, the best post they have is:

MS CS Chances

They also have helpful profile information:
Edulix InfoBank | Reports

Thanks again Camlogic!
I got admit from UPENN for MCIT. Does anyone have an idea as to how it is, and if its worth going there without financial aid (it seems to be very expensive)?

i really dont think doing MCIT @ UPENN is worth it. If you had got into MS then it is fine, but MCIT is definetly not worth it.

Yeah, the ROI just isn't there. It would be better to apply to the MIS program at UT Dallas if you need admission for Fall 2008 (assuming their deadline is May 1). Or just apply somewhere else, even for Spring/Fall 2009.

I am very unimpressed with the required courses for the MCIT. They seem easier than undergrad CS courses. And some of them aren't taught by professors but by "lecturers."

Hi,
thanks again for the helpful advice.
I have applied in MIS for UTDallas..waiting for the result.
Meanwhile, I have got admit in JHU, Maryland in Computer Science. Can anyone guide me how good is it?
The more important question is - is it worth going to JHU (CS), UPENN (MCIT) or UTD (MIS) after 4 years of work expe.?

Hi,

I also got into UPENN's MCIT program for fall '08. The only thing holding me back is the price. .....I want to get into IT, but not sure which is the best route....I thought that it might be better just to get a red hat linux certification and start interning somewhere.....cheaper and learning specific skills that are more in demand....any suggestions on what might be the better route?
