I'm a permanent resident of Canada. I got a Master of Science degree in computer science from The Univ. of Western Ontario 2 years ago, and I'm working in a company now. My research direction is bioinformatics & computational biology during my graduate study at UWO. I find I'm more interested in database area, and want to pursue further study in this area. Can I apply M.S. although I already hold a computer sci. M.Sc. degree? (I do not intend to do a PhD at present.)
I find that Stanford and UT-Austin do not consider people who already have a MS degree to their master of science program. What about other universities? Thanks a lot. ![]() |

What area of the database field? I mean, if you were interested in data mining, an MS degree in statistics with a data mining track could be better than having 2 MS degrees in CS.
