Please evaluate my profile

Hi,

my gre score is 1370(verbal=590, quant=780).My AWA score is 3.0 which is bad.

I have given Toefl and expecting my result in next week.

I am from VTU(visveshwaraiah technological university , Karnataka)
I have Aggregate of 85.12% , I have secured university 3rd rank in Computer science.

I had 2 scholarships for being first and second in 3rd year and 2nd year of engineering in my college(infineon scholarships)

I had cleared IIT-JEE with rank of 4361, But did not join IIT rourkee for architecture.

I have Teaching experience as well. I Can get good recos from my professors.(thinking of getting 2 from professors and one from my manager)

I have submitted no papers.

I have done a descent project in wireless domain in my college under the guidance of my professor.
Apart from this , i have done two minor projects.

Currently , I am working in database domain. I will be having 2 years of
experience by fall 2009. I am doing quite good projects (R & D)

I want to pursue MS in computer network domain.

Can you guys suggest some universities? I have the following universities in mind

Except for the AWA score, you have a pretty good profile which would get you in most of the schools in your list.

1. cornell university // Ambitious, but it worth a try
2. georgia tech // Ambitious
3.University of texas Austin // the most Ambitious
4.univ on minnesota-twin cities // Good chances
5. penn state uni // moderate to ambitious
6.Ohio // assuming it's OSU then it's moderate
7.TAMU // Ambitious, they prefere NIT
8. uni of penn // Crackable with good SOP
9.virginia tech // should be moderate
10.NCSU // safe-moderate
11.UCI // moderate
12 univ of wisconsin // Ambitious
13.UFL // moderate
14.SUNY-stony brook // moderate
15.univ of utah // moderate
16.suny -buffalo //safe
17.UTD. //safe

I would advise you to drop UT Austin and UWisc from your list because they are the most ambitious and your 3.0 AWA score may affect your chances badly here. Another thing to, you should read this thread on Edulix:

You are Indian, right?
Why not consider "University of Southern California" ?
It has Masters in CS with concentration on Networking, and I know people with lower credintials than you who got admitted in USC, which is highly repputable and ranked (engineering school ranked 7th in the US according to USNews)

Personally, my GPA was 3.27/4.0 (I am from Saudi Arabia) and my GRE was V=330 Q=750 A=3.0 and my TOEFL was 270/300.
Apply to USC, it is almost safe. I know alot of Indians in the school.

If you are trying for Cornell, you may try their MEng program. But Cornell is Ithaca, NY = the middle of nowwhere

Yeah , I am a Indian.

But California is very costly, So cannot afford to go there. I am looking for a decent university which has comparatively low cost and then has good reputation.

Kindly suggest some university.

I also got admission in Arizona State University at Tempe, and in Washington University at St. Louis

Arizona is a bit cheaper than California, and when I say cheaper, I mean mainly rent: I pay $750 for my own room in a house (expect to pay around that around LA. You can get a 2 bed apartment in Tempe for about $800, and it is within the big city of phoenix.

I took a vacation and went to Augusta, GA (on the borders with South Carolina) and over there, the $750 rents a 4 bedrooms house. I think SC, GA and even FL(some cities) are cheaper.
