I was hoping to get into TAMU, petroleum engineering this fall but there was delay in sending my GRE scores.How easy is it for someone to be admitted for a master's degree in TAMU.

Depends on the field, e.g.:

CS -> surprisingly ambitious (more difficult than GA Tech)
MIS -> relatively moderate compared to their CS admissions

I don't know about other fields like economics.
