Hi w_guy. It was nice to hear from you. I am a software professional with two years of work experience from a very reputed MNC. So am very eager to know whether after completion of my program I would get a decent job or not? You are from canada so you might be knowing a great deal about the job scenario. Please elaborate on this.

hi,
the canadian economy is't the best at the moment. but if you do an MS you defn stand a good chance compared to the bachelors of getting a good job. plus as you said, you have already two years of work experience. is this work experience in Canada? if it is, then you stand a really good chance because most Canadian companies prefer you have Canadian/USA experience rather than some other international experience. why dont you apply to some other universities besides Ottawa? Mc Master, McGill , Toronto, Waterloo and UBC have really good programs with much better job prospects. |

HI w_guy,
Actually I had applied to just one university as I had heard about the management program that it is really good. Now I think I will surely settle with this university as I dont believe in going to a top ranked university and be an average student there. Rather I would love to be a above average student in a average university.I know everybody will have a different stand on this. Regarding my job experience. I have worked now for two years in India. But its an Indian MNC and we have work from all over the world. I just want to do this course so that it adds to my resume, and would probably fetch me a job in Management field. Thats why I was asking you about the Job prospects. You please rate this university purely on the basis of the job scene on a scale of 10. Thanks for your co-operation till now!! |

So now when you have decided that you are going to join the course, whats the point in doubting ? Just go for it and achieve your best, good luck !
Btw, if I can know about Queens University, Canada, it would be great. I am considering for PhD in Chemical Engineering at Queens next fall, as there is a research group which is working in the same interest as mine. But not sure of the University in general, though have heard that it is a good university in Canada. Thanks ! |

Hi Shemz,Its the same thing Man. If you have heard that the university is good whats the point in asking? Donot you trust those who have told you. If you dont trust them then how will you trust me or anyone else? Its just that you always want to hear what you like.(no offence though)Listen friend its a good university. But I dont know particularly about Chemical Engineering. But if you have some papers published then you will surely get an admit.
