I finished my GRE yesterday and now I'm uploading some of my personal things, hope they'd help:
If you feel these might help, I would post more in the future. 1, subject vs content (this seems a hot topic in analogy, I listed every subject we might face and their contents or the objects they are about )pediatrics : children dermatology : skin pathology : disease (caution: not medicine~) meteorology : weather neurology : nerve ecology : organism & environment speleology : cave numerology : occult significance of numbers(this seems would not be in analogy, I met this in reading or sentences...) natation : swimming ( natation is not only action, can also be the art of swimming) metallurgy : metal lapidary : gemstone/cameo jurisprudence : law gastronomy : eating/food horology : time/clock/timepieces hygiene : health logic : reasoning ethics : behavior semantics : language penology : prison/criminal ichthyology : fish oncology : tumor 2. I call this part "level analogy", A is more severe, more extreme than B, I think this is really important, they are all from real tests, though might not be in the future test, it's good for us to prepare a feeling of this: convulsion > contradiction frenzy > emotion terror > fear craving > desire catastrophe > mishap humiliation > embarrassment atrocious > bad momentous > important reverence > respect avidity > enthusiasm loathing > dislike bliss > pleasure fascination > interest adoration > fondness sodden > moist astonished > surprised glacial > cold profound > deep enrage > irk urge > suggest minuscule > small saturated > moist suffuse > tint quench > damp preeminence > important preponderance > weight ecstasy > pleasure astonishment > surprise quaff/swill > sip gulp/guzzle/gobble > nibble industriousness > activity fastidiousness > selectivity stygian > dark abysmal > low ironclad > firm brilliant > smart hack > carve gouge > engrave terror > apprehension adoration > affection gush > trickle sear > warm lionize > admire vituperate > despite agog > interested meticulous > careful exhort > suggest goad > direct dazzle > glimmer resound > murmur sin > peccadillo castigation > admonishment mortify > embarrass mollycoddle > indulge coma > unconsciousness delirium > confusion inferno > fire hurricane > storm crucial > relevant obvious > perceptible distraught > troubled rapacious > covetous glaring > bright deafening > loud 3. this part is somehow like the previous one, A is a radical and negative form of B, and A makes people feel bad zealous : devoted fastidious : careful covetous : desire prodigal : spend glib : fluent finicky : meticulous hubris : pride flattery : praise importune : requests pry : inquiries extravagance : expenditure loquaciousness : talk upbraid : reproach dote : like miserly : frugal arrogant : confident zealous : enthusiastic idolatrous : devoted supplant : replace snatch : take moralistic : principle pedantic : learned quixotic : idealistic touchy : sensitive rashness : courage prodigality : generosity milk : extract exploit : utilize querulous : complain prodigal : spends inveigle : interest scheme : plan chicanery : clever tactlessness : truthful belabor : assert fuss : tend garrulous : talktive cloying : sweet servile : compliant gullible : trusting paranoid : suspicious idolatrous : admiring penurious : frugal obsequious : compliant pirate : take forge : copy entangle : involve grill : question chauvinistic : patriotic gullible : receptive officious : attentive snobbish : refined carp : complain guzzle : drink That's the end for today...good luck everyone ![]() |
