b. dilute
c. enhance :This is correct.
d. incapacitate
e. distend : expand, stretch. Sorry I did not see C

2. IMPERIOUS : commanding
a. diffident : shy
b. gregarious
c. egregious
d. facetious
e.over bearing

3. ABLUTION : washing away, make clean
a. pollution : corrupting, making dirty
b. lavation
c. fumigation
d. debasement :
e. decomposition

Decomposition could be a fit. But it means break down internally, thus getting dirty. pollution is adding something just as ablution washes away what ever is added externally.


4. FERVID : very frenzied.
a.undistinguished
b.unexpected
c.stubborn
d.restrained : with controlled emotions
e.discouraged

5.RAVEL : gradually untangle to make less complicated
a.knit : making more complicated.
b.omit
c.remain silent
d.measure
e.increase in value
