    what's the bridge?

    METAPHOR : LITERAL
    (A) biography : accurate
    (B) melody : spoken
    (C) poem : rhythmic
    (D) anthem : patriotic
    (E) ballet : intricate

the answer is B, but who can tell me what the damned bridge between them is?
    Courage, Faith and Perseverance

    wingway,
check out this site. It has the explanation for the question. I found it when I googled metaphor literal.

Thank you ragini... One good reply there was:

Metaphor and Literal are nearly opposites. If I say "She's a fox", the metaphor means that she's beautiful, while literal means that she's a four-legged furry creature.
I'd choose B, since those are also nearly opposites.

A fox is a metaphor for beauty??! I never found foxes particularly beautiful

I'd heard of 'vixen' being used as a metaphor for a sly or malicious woman (I think )
but this is new to me...
Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are good is like expecting the bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian.
