wood
FLAG: (A)sustain (B)strive ©favor (D)cut (E)wax Ans: E I know FLAG is to lose energy or momentum. WAX is to increase in quantity or intensity (however, not necessarily energy or momentum). What's a stronger bridge between them?
Erin
Well, when the bridge is too specific, we have to make it more general. In this case, we can simple say that X is to decrease, Y is to increase. That in itself would actually get us the answer. However, I would have to say that I do see a bit of overlap in energy and intensity. In other words, I do think that these are pretty good antonyms. BTW, wax and wane are on the test a lot, so it'd be good to remember them. :)
wood
Ok... I'll remember to generalize when needed. Thanks again! (...I can't seem to stop thanking you...)
