    For the first one,
to ruffle is to destroy the evenness of something.
Similarly curb is a rim of joined stones along a sidewalk according to www.dictionary.com
    So,D.
    For the second one,
Someone who can be gulled can be easily duped, i.e. he/she is not wary enough.
Similarly someone who is not vigilant enough is ambushed.
Is my line of reasoning correct?

I'm guessing ruffle here means to take away the ironed-look of a shirt and give it a more crumpled look.
So, the bridge must be to remove the eveness of something.

    sonav,

Ruffle also = a ruffled trimming.

    So B, X is a decoration on Y.

    First some defintions:
Ruffle: a strip of cloth, lace, etc., drawn up by gathering along one edge and used as a trimming on a dress, blouse, etc.
Molding:any of various long, narrow, ornamental surfaces used on frames, tables, etc., and certain architectural members, as cornices
So Ruffle is a kind of decoration of shirt...
Ans so molding is a decoration on a cabinet......
This one was pretty tough:only 31 percent earthlings got this right....

    2 wary: gulled
    (a)passinate:moved
    (b)taciturn:goaded
    (c)loquacious:befriended
    (d)vigilant:ambushed
    (e)anxiety: pessimistic

Wary is someone who is very cautious and cannot be easily gulled(gull means to deceive, cheat, hoodwink etc.)
similarly a vigilant person cannot be wasily ambushed...
    X cannot be easily Y
