Gmm21
I have been practicing a lot of verbal lately and I notice my weakest area is analogies. I think I have a lot of trouble making defining relationships. If there is any general advice I would apprciate it. Thanks.
mystic87
increasing your vocab will definitely boost your ability for verbal. on top of that, you should get a copy of the Big Book and do lots of analogies practice. this way you'll start to get a feel of how analogies work. Gmm21
What is the Big Book? and what is the best way to study vocab? I've just been making flash cards from various lists. Is a grouping strategy more effective? and if so how should I go about studying that way.
dodododo
i think there is no other way than learning more and more vocabs....it's not something you can improve in a day... most of those words will apear in your readings once you're in grad school, that's what i've heard!
