While doing GRE verbal section,i'm afraid that i'm not able to do antonyoms and analogies part of the verbal section only when i don't know the meaning of the words given.Though ,i go through Barron's words list ,till then ,its not easy to get the exact meaning of the word and then go further;which is not a difficult thing to go.i'm planning to appear in the exam within next couple of the months, but ,still confuse about this problem. Please, help me to find the solution.

Ume, Even i was in a mental block like this. Its always safe to read barrons atleast 4 times before the exam. Coming to your question, when you dont know the meaning of a word, try to derive from options. My strategy for antonyms would be to take each and every option and take an opposite to it. Which can most of time give you a clue to the root word
![]() In analogies it gets little difficult. But in some scenarios you can still use above strategy to find the relation between stem words. Thanks |

Thanks for yours reply. But ,in antonyms, you can go for options and match with the given question, the problem resides that if you know the meaning of the options.
I know that the words skills i have could just make me able to do two or three of the questions not more then these.Indeed,i want to score 95% in my GRE exam.I hope u'd understand my problem and would suggest something to achieve my goal. |

Hmm! Well! Then do high freq world list 1st then start making a list of words in every word list and focus on only those. Cut down the list as you approach the exam .... In a nutshell you need to have some knowledge of words going into GRE especially when you have an aim of 95%
