Does it require effort and courage to make things simple? (kindly rate it on scale of 6)

 

Human mind has evolved in such a manner that it tries to help us perceive things in a simple ,cogent and articulate way no matter how complex things might turn out to be. However, there are times when things are tedious to understand, rigid and way to complicated to comprehend. Here, its not only courage and effort that pays, but also knowledge and dedication which paves the way to simplicity. I do believe that it require effort and courage to make things simple but that’s not all.

It took great effort for Thoams Newcoman to practically demonstrate the use of steam engine. It was shear courage and tremendous effort from this mechanical engineer to invent a giant coal eating and smoke throwing serpent. But, it was knowledge and great deal of dedication which helped James Watt to simplify the mechanics of steam engine and put it into commercial use for general public. And after a century later still, what it took was courage, dedication and countless amount of efforts which has made it possible to witness the speed of bullet trains which works on far more simple laws of electro-mechanics than its thermo-mechanical grandfather.

 

However, its not always that simplification can be achieved by both use of effort and courage.It was innovation that made mobile telecommunication possible it may have required great deal of effort to implement the project when mobile phones first came into picture in early 90's but it was not complemented by 'Courage'. Today mobile communication is a necessity, its a part of life and has made it much simpler .Also, we need to consider what things we are talking about and can there simplification be achieved by courage and effort? You don’t have to be courageous to board a lift and would hardly require any effort to reach your apartment floor. But, it requires effort and courage both to ask for a salary hike to your employee which make it bit more affordable for you to rent that apartment uptown. This is we, making our life simple!

 

So, there are times and places where effort and courage compliment each other to make things simple but that’s definitely not the only way to achieve it. Knowledge , hard work , dedication and innovation are few things which might work things out for you as well.
