"The best ideas come from passionate interest in the commonplace"

Please rate this one :

Let us start by having an agreement on what ideas can be called as the best ideas . Broadly speaking any idea which has the capability to advance the mankind in a positive direction , deserves to be marked as "Best Idea".

Now , from where do the best ideas originate ? or from where any original idea come for that matter ? To understand this , let us start our journey from childhood , how does a child start learning or how the ideas start taking shape in the brains of a child ? from observing commonplace with passion , curiosity inherent to every child. He observes with all his curiosity his surroundigs questioning anything strange or new that comes his way , and in the process forms some ideas. So for a child , a passionate interest in commonplace things act as the only source of his ideas. So inception of any kind of ideas start from observing commonplace. And who knows one of the myriad questions asked by the child out of observing the commonplace may act as an inspiration for some of the best ideas.

The analogy of child continues to the field of science. The first step in any kind of scientific discovery is observation , observation of the commonplace with passion. Many of the major and most fundamental discoveries have come by passionate observation of the surroundings. Law of gravitation which explains one of the four major defining forces of creation is the result of passionate observation of a most commonplace event , falling of an apple!. And this is not the single such discovery which draws its inspiration from observing the commonplace , most of the major breakthroughs in any field are the result of interest in surroundings. Infact our journey from primitive man to the modern starts from passionate observation of commonplace things. It was the interest in commonplace which invented the fire which has a place as significant as being classified as one of the five elements of creation, then wheel which is the basis of today's sophisticated automobile industry, and the list goes on. So had it not been for the passionate interest of our ancestors in commonplace things , when there was nothing but the commonplace things to lay your hands on , we would probably not been making a discussion on this "elite" subject today.

Now why do a passionate interest in common place things makes the germaning ground for best ideas ? Because a passionate interest in commonplace draws the attention towards the reality and an urge is instigated to solve the myriads of puzzels which lie hidden in the commonplace , and this urge gives rise to some beautiful ideas. The beauty of the idea lies in its being inspired from reality and not out of any imagery. So for a scientist it becomes the basis of a fundamental theory and for a socialist it bacomes an idea which can take the society out of its self inflicted melodramas , by the means of identifying which social mores we need to get rid of and which need to be propagated.

To conclude, beauty of any idea lies in its capability of reflecting the real which can come only from observing the reality with passion.

"Does it seem to be too much of a digression , I know I need to work on the conclusion atleast"
