With technology continually advancing, is human interactiondeteriorating or have better ways of communication developed? I would agree that the best way tocommunicate is face to face however considering people’s busy schedules and where two people are located in the world,it’s not always possible. I feel that technologyhas given us more and better options for communicating with one another.

With the rise of the internet came email. Prior to this, therewas only regular postal mail. With Postalmail, you can write to a loved one, you have to rely on the postal workers andit would take at least three days for the mail to make it to the recipient. With email, you can write to a loved one inanother country and the longest it would take for the message to make it tothem would be an hour and if for some reason the transmission of the messagefailed, you would know right away.

When a loved one is serving our country in another country,then it’s almost impossible to talk to that loved one in person especiallyduring a war. With chat services like Skype and Yahoo Instant Messenger that allowsthe use of a web camera, you can see your loved one while talking to him/her atthe same time. This provides some typeof proof that they are doing alright.

In Conclusion, It’s clear that with the ever increasing useof technology that it hasn’t reduced our opportunities for human interaction. Ithas provided us new and improved ways of communication. The two examples ofemail and chat services that allow the use of a web camera validate this conclusion.As stated earlier, it’s not always possible to communicate due to constraintsbefore such technological improvements came into effect.
