Issue topic: Nations should pass laws to preserve any remaining wilderness areas in their natural state.

Protective laws are the best way to curb the destruction. Any remaining wilderness area could easily recede if certain laws are not made to protect it. It will result in a national loss. So, I strongly believe that every nation should make laws to protect their wilderness areas in their natural state. A wildlife safari in dense forest would only be a dream, if there would be no such laws. Also, the revolution in anthropology is marked by enforcement of these laws. Finally, these laws cast a direct impact on nation’s economy.

First, the sparrows and tigers are getting extinct at a very rapid pace. It is only 1044 tigers being left in India. The decrease in wildlife would hurt the balance of ecosystem. An extinction of tigers would indicate that the ecosystem is not protected. These problems led the Indian government to pass the Wildlife protection law in 2002. It ensures that the wildlife is conserved and makes the ecosystem balance.

Second, India has a long and rich history. The nation, boasts of having the oldest civilization, the Indus Valley civilization. The discovery of this civilization took a new turn in studying the human culture and civilization. The civilization is rich in knowledge. The researchers are befuddled by the findings from excavations. From a well-planned city to modern shards, the civilization shows its richness. Had those laws from Archeological Survey of India (ASI) being not enforced to protect the area, we could still be lagging in discovering the rich knowledge in 2500 BC.

Third, by protecting the wilderness areas in their natural state by imposing laws, it grabs more attention of the tourists. The famous Elephanta caves in Mumbai is an exemplary model to justify the statement. These are ancient caves situated in the Arabian Sea, approximately 7 km from Mumbai shore. Once, an arid and dry place, never contributed to Mumbai’s economy. However, after declaring it as one of the heritage site, it got attention from tourists. A small step to preserve the wilderness area, turned out to be a tourist spot, providing significant monetary returns to the state.

Clearly, the step to make laws in order to preserve the wilderness areas has been responsible for several upwards of humankind in diverse respects. In areas of ecosystem, anthropology and economy, progress has been inspired by the enactment of these laws. Rather than denying the proposal of laws to preserve the wilderness areas in a nation, we should accept that every nation should propose such laws to preserve abandoned areas. This would permit true growth and transformation of the nation.
