Thumbs up

In accord with the topic"important truths begin as outrageous , or at least uncomfortable attacks upon the accepted wisdom of time", i present some views to buttress the argument.
To begin with, let us first consider the day to day life where we often experience such situations when a truth makes things uncomfortable between people .For this very reason, people tend to lie on trivial matters. Its a human nature to abide by the existing notions, rules , regulations, concepts and myths as well. Thinking out of the box is the job of those extraordinary people who are at first condemned and attacked by and large.Unconventional but logical and justifiable truths are difficult to accept initially as they tend to weaken the beliefs embedded in the society.
The ideal example to support this issue is that of Galileo's contribution and the response to his theory. He argued in favour of the sun-centered, Copernican theory of the universe against the dominant earth-centered Ptolemaic and Aristotelian theories. His opinions were considered as dangerous and close to heresy and so he was placed under house arrest and his movements restricted by the Pope.Undoubtedly he proposed an "Important truth" and indeed it was considered as "outrageous".
This is not the only example, time and again our society has responded in a similar manner to the works of unconventional thinkers. In the present scenario we all are witness to the opposition of genetically modified foods and to be honest we all are a part of this opposition too. How many of us are able to easily accept the fact that GM foods are beneficial for us? we condemn,we reject, just because the concept is unconventional.
But its just a matter of time and sooner or later such important truths are imbibed by the society and become a part of the accepted wisdom of time".
