This is not a difficult question since there are piles of books dealing with this topic. Nevertheless, improving writing skill overnight, which is also my dream, seems a mission that is impossible at this point in time.

When are you taking your GRE? If you have time, then I would suggest you read newspapers like New york times and Washington post regularly. But if you have a time constraint, then you should think about getting a tutor.
