hi friends,can anyone please tell me how to prepare for AWA???everyone is posting that "issue 95 , argument 42" etc., can anyone por favor, El Seņor tell me what is that??
i am new to awa...till now i don't know how to write AWA.....i didn't took any coaching till now ![]() por favor, El Seņor help friends........... |

I would recommend preparing by writing some practice essays. I did not prepare at all because I'm a writer by profession so I thought I'd ace this part... It was a mistake. I did not do as well in AWA as I could have. By doing practice essays you'll become more proficient in organizing your thoughts within the time limit of the test. You can post your essays for feedback from other posters.
On the GRE website there is a full list of topics for the analysis of issue and argument tasks. |

The GRE website they are talking about (in case you don't know):ets.org/gre
go to "practice for a GRE test"--then "general test"--then, sample Qs tab This will provide a whole wealth of information that will answer a lot of questions. |

For the argument section, Prof. Weston's book is a good reference. For the issue section, I would recommend a wide range of reading. A good place to start is Arts & Letters Daily - ideas, criticism, debate
