Carbohydrate structure

Should we memorize the structures of the major carbohydrates ( Fischer diagrams, etc..)?

I don't recall having one question (both the actual test and the practice test) that specifically asks you the structures of the carbohydrates. However, it may be worthwhile to know the structures of the major ones (glucose, galactose and fructose).
