Help!!!

Hi, everybody, I am new here, glad to meet you on the forum.
I am very anxious cause I have no idea how to prepare for the test.
Could someone provide some test materials for preparing the GRE biochemistry test?
Especially, who has attended the test this year, could you recall some content of the test before? I think those may be the best material for preparing the test.
Thank you very much !

The best way to prepare for the test, in my opinion, is to use your lecture notes/slides from your classes. If you have not taken classes relevant to the content covered in the tests, use textbooks to help you. There are some books recommended by many people in this website, as shown below:

For Biochemistry, use Leininger or Stryer
For Cell Biology, use Alberts et. al. (Molecular Biology of the Cell)
For Genetics, use Griffths "Introduction to genetic Analysis"

These books can be found in the ncbi website: Books Home

Use the outline in the GRE Biochemistry test guide available in the ETS website to help you figure out what you should study for the test. Also, I found an excellent outline made by a user of this forum: http://www.urch.com/forums/gre-bioch...udy-guide.html (GRE Biochem study guide)
Give yourself enough time (like 3 months or so) so that you can cover all the test materials.

As for practice tests, you may be able to find the 1994 and the 2000 test from this forum or through google. I cannot directly link you to the tests because it violates the rules of this forum but if you do a little search in this forum/google, you may find them. You can also download a 2005 practice test from the ETS website, under test preparation. In my opinion though, doing a lot of practice tests do not necessarily improve your score because there are really too many materials to be covered in the tests. Instead, use them to get yourself familiarized with the test format and to learn how to pace in the actual test. If you need to do some problems to help you understand any concepts, use the ones in the textbooks.

Hope this helps.
