1994 exam

Is the 1994 exam completely out of touch? Has anyone taken the actual exam and found that the 1994 exam is drastically different and not representative of the actual exam of 2009? Is it harder/easier than the recent exam? I am just curious. Thanks.

The 1994 exam, in terms of materials tested, is VERY different from the actual test (I took it last month). With that said, don't freak out if you do really bad on the 1994 exam (as I did).

Thank you for the info. Is there a lot more molecular bio material on the recent exam? How about the more recent practice test that is on the ETS website? Is that closer to the actual material? I am taking my test on saturday. I saved the practice tests for this last week.

Yes, there is quite many molecular bio and biochemistry stuff. Not much pure genetics stuff. I would say the ETS practice test is quite similar to the actual test in terms of the types of materials tested. Definitely do that test before you take the actual one. Try to use this test to learn how to pace yourself and what strategies to use on the actual test. Pacing is very important in dealing with this test.

I wish you all the luck on the test.

Thank you very much. Yea I scored 59th on the 1994 exam last week, and then took the one on the ETS website today and scored 92%. So hopefully the test will be similar to this one, then I will be fine.

Good score! I assure you that you will not see anything like the 1994 one. Don't worry. I'm sure you will do fine
