Hi Friends,

I am a new member of this Forum and planning to take up AGRE next year.
I am from an ECE background, I tried searching for a Comprehensive study material for AGRE,but couldn't find any

Can anyone Pls give me the list of books/links that i could refer for the Subject test.

http://www.ets.org/Media/Tests/GRE/pdf/CompSci.pdf

Please suggest me some books for the topics listed in the above Link.

Thanks in advance,
Vinay.

You should start by exploring ETS official booklet then you can make a list of topics to study.
If you are asking for materials, you can check CalmLogic's signature

This post also contains many resources :

you can also search for the users expertise on the forum.

My advice : These materials are not enough to get a good score . you have to study from your textbooks and review the whole subject.

BTW, no need for duplicate posts.

Yeah, it's kindof like practicing for a PhD qualifying exam:
http://www.urch.com/forums/gre-compu...ying-exam.html (The GRE CS can serve as a PhD Qualifying Exam)

There is a list of textbook references in the last page of the Titanium Bits study guide. One must gain a wide yet detailed knowledge and test well among top people in CS, so one cannot solve too many textbook problems.

Some of the more recent advice regarding which resources to use:

...My best advice would be for anyone still in college to make sure you take courses that cover all of the major topics. It really makes it much easier.

You might also consider following some of the courses at the ArsDigita University. Especially Discrete Math, Algorithms, and Theory of Computation. Together they cover the entire theory section which is worth 40% of the AGRE. These will also be the hardest for those not coming from a CS background.

I did not take any of the above courses, but I've read that they are quite good.

Those ArsDigita videos are good for learning the concepts prior to doing textbook exercises. My problem was I watched a lot of video lectures from the Internet but didn't follow through by doing enough textbook exercises.

I fully agree. Those are real academic courses and should be treated as such: watch the lectures, do your homework, prepare for the test and take it, just as if there was a deadline.
