shootout
Distinct means not alike; different in nature or quality.

e.cartman
Imo distinct positive factors are all the positive factors. 7(19^3) has 8 distinct positive factors. Imo it is not same as prime factors.
moodaeng
what is the different between "factor" and "distinct positive factor"?
e.cartman
I think they are the same, not distinct :) But it's a good question since it causes a lot of confusion.
