Important!!!! Factors ...exponents!
Are Negatives Factors of Other Numbers?
for example is -4 a factor of 4 .. i think it is because u can multiplay -4 by -1 to get 4 as evrybody can see... but what is the gre about... if i look at the formula (exponent1+1)(expo.2+1) ...... this formula only counts the positive factors ... so my question are the negative numbers factors , too in the GRE???? |

on the gre, negative numbers are not considered as factors. problems about factoring, factors, prime factors, multiples, etc only take positive numbers into consideration.
