ways in which they can sit together in a row. In how many of those ways is

Martha sitting in the middle?

the ans is 24

Hey Tans. Total ways of arranging 5 people into 5 seats with regard to the order is 5P5=5!=120. GIVEN that Martha seats in the 3rd seat, the remaining 4 can be arranged in 4P4=4!=24 ways.

thanx, i took total 4 including martha (my mistake) and was calculating
