Urgent: taking the test 8/9 Need help with LINE EQUATION

Hi,

To get the equation of a perpendicular line , lets assume, an equation y=mx+b where m is the slope

To get any the equation of the perpendicular line of this equation, you should know that for perpendicular line, the slope is=-1/m

So the equation of the line in your mentioned question is y=x

that means slope, m=1

so any perpendicular line in this equation should have a slope of 1/-1=-1

only C,D has slope -1, so they are the answer!

I answered all of your questions, but some of the answers are not yet approved by admin

 

for perpendicular , slope is -1/m where m is the slope of the given line

so here slope m =1

so perpendicular slope=-1/1=-1

 

only C, D has -1 slope, so that is the answer....
