    median = (n+1)/2 th term

    so in this case its Y

    now,
    (y+z) /3 =3 y

    z = 8 y = 8k

    k = 8

    you can think of median like this:
    >> arrange the numbers in ascending or descending order
    >> If there are odd no. of numbers then the number in the middle is the median
    >> but if there are even no. of numbers, then the average of the two middle numbers is the median. e.g; The median of 1, 2,3,4,5,6 is (3+4)/2=3.5

    see addict dont get confued the formula for median is always (n+1) / 2

    when nos. are odd this comes to middle term

    when nos. are even say 6 this becomes 6+1 /2 = 7/2 = 3.5th term that means mean of 3rd and 4th term .

    got me buddy!!
