Hi,
As usual I faced a data interpretation question and my answer was wrong as I was approximating.
In 1981 blue collar workers were 28% of 150m and in 1995 blue collar workers were 20% of 175m. What is the percent decrease?
And what I did was:
1981: 150*28% ~ 150*30% = 45
1995: 175*20% = 35
so decrease = 10
% decrease = 10/45*100%
Now if we approximate it as 10/50*100% then it is 20%
if we app approximate it as 10/40*100% then it is 25%
But sorry the answer is 17%. I dont know how else should I approxmate. DI problems are always bugging me and primary reason is approximation.
So is there any body in this whole wide world who is kind enough to help me out here to overcome this agony of DI?
