Q.1 let D be a decimal of the form D=0.01a1a2a1a2a1a2.........,whr digits a1 and a2 lie between 0 and 9,then wich of the following necesarily produces an integer when multiplied by D??

2.108
3.1980
4.208
5.408

Q.2 a distillate flows into an empty 64 gallon drum at spout A and out the drum at spout B.if the rate of flow thru A is 2 gallons per hr.how many gallons per hour flow out at spout B so dat drum is full in exactly 9 hrs???

5.8/3

Q.3 a=2
b=-2
c=0
d=1
e=-1
wich has greatest absolute value??

Q2.

Just a thought. If the drum is 64 gallons, and the rate of flow into the drum is 2 gallons per hour. It would take 32 hours just to fill it if it had no leaks. Did you make a typo?

Q3.

The absolute value of a positive number (or zero) is itself. The absolute value of a negative number is the conjugate (positive). This means both A and B are the largest values.

I suspect your source for questions is not great...

I'm sure second question has a typo. 3rd question has 2 answers. Can't get around 1st.

The typo is 96. It's not 9. Infact use slight logic, it can't be 9. the second figure has to be greater than 32.

the answer for second question is
64/(x-2)=96

we get 8/3 answer here x is from spout B

I sthe answer correct please let me know if wrong

the answer is 4/3....the equation reads
2(96)-x(96)=64...
On solving......4/3
