A: 3/8 B: 1/2 C: 2/3 D: 4/3 E: 8/3 At outlet A flow rate = 2 gallons/hour in 96 hours total gallon of water through A is 96x2= 192 gallons Let flow rate at B be y gallons /hour in 96 hours water that flow out through B is 96y gallons A/Q 192 - 96y = 64 Thus y= 4/3 (D) Can you specify what is the term y in your first question? |

the first one: ![]() SPOILER: answer: B I looked at this problem on page 362 of the General Test 10th Edition. Col A (which is "x") and Col B is supposed to be 2 not "y". Is that what you have in your book? The answer is still Col B. Thought I would mention it since "y" was not mentioned. |
