    1. All primes > 10 are odd... hence x^y is odd... ie x^y+2 is by odd... xy + 2 is also odd cos odd*odd is odd... 2xy is even.. 2xy+xy is even + odd... ie odd... eliminating all other options... A

Uh.. I beg to differ on the 2nd question...
I had already given my opinion on the other thread.
I feel the answer is (A)...

    Here's the explanation :
    Ans: (A) - (i) only
    Why?
(ii)- > Wrong -> Why? One scenario -> 1 1 1 1 1 1 27 -> Here only one box has more than 4, so, statement '(ii) there are more than one boxes with 4' is wrong!
(iii)- > Wrong -> Why? One scenario -> 1 1 1 1 1 1 27 -> In this scenario, there's not even a single box empty. So, statement '(iii) there is atleast one box empty' is also wrong.
    Only (i) can be true!
    So ans : (A)

    Oh Ok. Got the point!
    Answer is (E) justified.

I dunno but please correct me if m wrong
it says Atleast 1 box has more than 5
    this means 1 or 2 or 3 or....or 7 contains 5
and 5 5 5 5 5 5 3 this tells that there are 6 box which contains 5 so the statement should be truei mean 1 shud be true and ans shud be A

says "at least one box has more than 5", not "more than one box has at least 5". so A need not be true.

Is part A supposed to read x^2 * 2y instead of y2 (which I took to mean y-squared). Because otherwise, you're multiplying two odd numbers, which gives an odd answer...
