vector problem?

a clock has negative point charges corresponding to its numerals like -q,-2q and till -12q
when the resultant component of field and the hour hand will point in same direction
please give me approach
i think i should draw ll vectors on a paper and then i should add all of them but i m confuse because this method is not working
thanks in advance

It's easy: the charges on the opposite sides like: 1-7,2-8,3-9,4-10,5-11,6-12 add up to the same length in the middle (but different direction). You have 6 E lines all of them have the same magnitude and they point to 12,11,10,9,8,7 respectilvely-> the resultant points to 9:30.
