The sentence basically says "A thinker must not be too ___ so other people can understand and follow him".
Now, what words mean something like "understand"? "Interpret" and "reenact" (not just understand but also repeat them) seem to be the only one that work.
So, what the thinker shouldn't be? Out of B and C only C seems to work. "Idiosyncratic" means "peculiar to the individual".
