the reasoning in this editorial is so --------- that we cannot see how anyone can be deceived by it .
a) coherent b) astute c) cogent d) specious e) dispassionate acc to me a) barron's d) traffic speed limits are set at a level that achieves some balance between the danger of ------------ speed & the desire of most people to travel as quickly as possible. a)marginal b)normal c)prudent d)inadvertent e)excessive ans (E) |

specious means -deceptively attractive, something with a ring of truth but actually fallacious- as against coherent which means something logical /consistent.so, IMHO, if something is specious- we cannot see how anyone can be deceived by it . The second- the balance is between travelling as quickly as possible and exceeding speed limits i.e. excessive speed- hence excessive. |
