Hehee... right... I still can't clearly get the picture. I know that "despicable" sounds good on the first one due to "denigrate". However, what's the clue for choosing "legitimizes" on the second one?

A) cant be the one as inopputrtune dont fit well in 1st blank as thrs no refernce to time.
B) 1st blank not applicable C) its DENIGRATE not DESTROY which ETS wants us to think and choose safeguard in second blank, so C is a big no no D & E lets take a look D) morally despicable, perfectly fits and so does legitimises. E) morally corrupt fits but generates doesnt. why? bcoz I think the sentence doesnt deal with creating or writing of such books, its just a discussion of the books tht exist. People r denigrating books tht is they think they r illegitamate, so legitamises fits. If it wud have been "People r destroying books" then genrates wud have fitted. Vinay |
