I have the feeling that the answer is "D". First blank suggests that "characterization..." is NOT going to be received with positive attitude (Sympathtetically), because both historitians and literary critics agree that they are something DIFFERENT or DISTINCT

(D) is the correct answer.
but, (A) in noway cud be answer??jus' felt that, historians n literary critics will not accept such claims 'quietly' simply bcus, they feel each depends on significant orders of experience?? |

Sorry Ranjani, but 'significant orders of experience' makes as little sense as 'shifting orders of experience':-)
What we may do to include significant meaningfully can be changing the sentence into 'significantly different/distinct orders of experience'- but that means the alternative D anyway. |
