can the clue for both (1) and (2) be--We are dealing with some word giving
-ve sense. In first case,since the latter part of sentence says she failed in getting the requisite no of people on trial,only "minutely" fits in for 2nd blank. Similarly for (2),the action of the researchers indicate that they prevented from doing something which might have caused a bad out-come[bring their studies to an end]. Let me know what you think of this.thx |

Answer is E to that second one I think. There are so many resources that researchers are overwhelmed by the plethora of information.
