D......didnt bring the numbers, meaning, didnt bring the material needed for trial

can the clue for both (1) and (2) be--We are dealing with some word giving
-ve sense.

In first case,since the latter part of sentence says she failed in getting the requisite no of people on trial,only "minutely" fits in for 2nd blank.

Similarly for (2),the action of the researchers indicate that they prevented from doing something which might have caused a bad out-come[bring their studies to an end].

Let me know what you think of this.thx

Answer is E to that second one I think. There are so many resources that researchers are overwhelmed by the plethora of information.

It cannot be "E" for (2).the blank needs to go along with latter part of sentence --"can not bear to bring their studies to an end".So its "divisive".

SPOT ON aeontoam, I made the scurvy mistake of thinking "resourceful" meant having a large number of resources. Rather, it only means being clever.

the ans for 2nd is Seductive,B simple copy paste the sentence in google.

How can archive information be seductive....cant they find better synonym for that?
