2. The Gibsons were little given to¡¦¡¦¡¦.in any form; not one of them was afraid of¡¦¡¦¡¦.., of being and seeming unlike their neighbors.
a) humility¡¦absurdity c) excellence¡¦¡¦mediocrity d)anger¡¦..confrontation c)conformism¡¦singularity e)ostentation¡¦¡¦¡¦.eccentricity Is the structure" to be little given to¡¦.." similar to " to be considered to be¡¦¡¦¡¦."? well, I am not familiar with "not one of them was¡¦¡¦¡¦" I think it should be "no one of them was¡¦¡¦¡¦". is "not one of them" is ok in formal English? And the answer is not E but C. Why E is not the correct answer? |

"to be little given to" is not similar "to be considered to be" it means that someone or something is to LITTLE extent something, in the case conformist or someone who agrees with the others. The mark ; means a new sentence but in relation to the first one or it gives a reason why they are not conformists because they are not afraid of singularity ,or being alone, as a result of their difference from their neighbours. how can someone be afraid of eccenticity..makes no sense think, and ostentation means pretensiousness, or rephrased they were not pretensious but were afraid of eccenticity which does not bind with the meaning of the sentence..think
